MENOMONIE, WI. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Becker, of Menomonie, Wis, has been identified as the victim killed in a Dunn County crash Sunday evening.
“Chris” Becker, 19, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Menomonie on Sunday night according to reports.
Dunn County Sheriff Kevin Bygd says, officials responded to the 3700 block of 420th Street around 8:10 pm Sunday on reports of a vehicle crash. When they arrived, they found a crashed vehicle and two victims.
Police determined that Becker was operating a vehicle on 420th Street, when it failed to negotiate a curve and made contact with a group of trees.
Emergency responders extricated the male driver from the car, but life-saving measures were not successful, reports WQOW.
Becker was pronounced dead at the scene of injuries suffered in the violent crash.
Dylan Thomas, 18, of Menomonie, was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
