ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Lee Edward Lett of Bonne Terre, MO, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in St. Francois County, Missouri Sunday night.
Lett, 36, was killed in a pedestrian-versus-vehicle strike in Bonne Terre, Missouri, Sunday night.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol officials, an unknown vehicle struck Lett around 10 p.m. Sunday. Zachary L. Breakfield, 23, was operating a Dodge 1500 pickup truck, when he also struck Lett.
Officials say, Lett ran into the road and was struck by the unknown vehicle followed by Breakfield.
The unknown driver then fled the scene.
Breakfield remained on the scene and fully cooperated with arriving officials.
Lett was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
No vehicle description was offered by police.
No further information was provided by officials.
