PENROSE, CO. (THECOUNT) — A plane crash has been reported on the grounds of the Penrose, Colorado Department of Corrections Sunday.
The Fremont County Sheriff confirmed that an aircraft “went down” Sunday afternoon outside of the Fremont County Airport and on Department of Corrections’ property.
So far there are no reports of how many people were on board, but several have been taken to the hospital. No word yet on their condition, reports KKTV.
The type of aircraft is not yet known.
Department of Corrections is the lead investigating agency.
No further information was immediately made available by officials.
