MALIBU, CA. (THECOUNT) — Pamela Anderson and her new husband, 74-year-old Jon Peters, have separated less than two weeks after their exchanging nuptials on January 20, 2020.

Sources say, the couple had not yet even filed legal paperwork for the marriage certificate before calling it quits on Friday.

News of the split came a mere eight days after Anderson posted an image to Instagram depicting her and Peters as a married couple.

“I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union,” the actress said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy,” reports VT.

Anderson, 52, and Peters met three decades ago a party held at the Playboy mansion.

Peters is a film producer and former hairdresser.

It was Anderson’s 5th marriage.
