CT Man Vinny Fairbanks ID’d As Victim In Saturday Fatal Orchard Lane BMW Crash

SOUTHINGTON, CT. (THECOUNT) — Vincent Fairbanks of Meriden, CT, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday crash in Southington.

“Vinny” Fairbanks, 23, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in the area of Orchard Lane early Saturday.

According to reports, Fairbanks was operating a BMW around 1:27 Saturday morning on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then collided with a Subaru.

The force of the crash caused Fairbanks’ BMW to roll over off, according to Southington police.

A female occupant of the BMW, identified as Allissa Ducas, 21, of Meriden, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of unknown serious injuries.

Fairbanks was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The operator of the Subaru, Toby Durgan, 63, of Southington, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Bradley Memorial Hospital, reports FOX61.

This is being investigated by the Southington Police Department Accident Investigation Team.
