WAYNE COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Aaron W. Torrence and Tiffany E. Curtiss, both of Wooster, Ohio, have been identified as the victims in a single-vehicle double-fatal crash in Wayne County early Saturday morning.
Torrence, 38, and 39-year-old Curtiss, were both killed in a early Saturday Wooster single-vehicle crash.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Torrence was operating a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Mechanicsburg Road near Varnes Rd., around 1:38 a.m. Saturday, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control and exited the roadway. The vehicle then made contact with a guardrail and went airborne before colliding with an embankment. The vehicle then rolled over.
Both Torrence and Curtiss were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Authorities say the victims were not wearing seatbelts, according WKYC.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
