CALABASAS, CA. (THECOUNT) — An iPad belonging to the pilot of Kobe Bryant‘s doomed helicopter has been recovered, according to investigators Tuesday.
NTSB investigators added that the helicopter missed clearing the mountain by 20 to 30 feet, though the aircraft was in a steep descent at the time of the crash.
Investigators added that even if the helicopter had cleared the mountain, there was a grouping of mountains closely located beyond the crash scene. The pilot was attempting to clear the clouds when it suddenly descended into the mountainside and crashed.
Bryant, 41, was killed in the crash in California Sunday morning along with his daughter and seven other individuals.
Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa and his other daughters were not on board.
