HARKER HEIGHTS, TX. (THECOUNT) — A heavy police presence has responded in a Harker Heights neighborhood early Monday morning as a man is threatening to harm himself.
Police said the man was threatening suicide by police and fired several shots have been fired by the suspect inside the home.
Police have cordoned off the 800 block of Olive Lane secured the area around the residence.
The person inside has since fired more shots inside the residence. Police continue to maintain communications with the person inside the residence, reports KXXV.
Killeen ISD said the following roads were blocked off: Vineyard at Stillhouse Hollow Vineyard at Green Meadow Olive and Moose They also said they are monitoring the situation and will make adjustments for transportation as needed.
It is unknown if anyone else is inside the residence, which is located in a newly developed tract of homes.
