CAMPBELL COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Eric Clos, of Maysville, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash involving a Covington Catholic High School bus on Saturday.

Clos, 39, was identified as the driver killed in a head-on crash with a charter bus carrying Covington Catholic students on Saturday.

The crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. Saturday in the northbound lanes of the AA Highway at California Crossroads in Campbell County.

The bus carrying students from Covington Catholic High School was involved in a fatal vehicle crash Saturday, according to reports.

The bus was returning to Kentucky after attending the “March for Life” event in Washington, D.C., when it was involved a fatal crash Saturday.

Several people were reportedly injured in the crash that also left Clos dead on Saturday.

A southbound car reportedly crossed the median and hit head-on the northbound charter bus on AA Highway at California Crossroads in Campbell County, Kentucky, a collision that resulted in the death of the wrong-way driver, according to WashingtonTimes.

“I saw a car come across the median and head toward me,” said Ricky Lynn, a driver who was headed north, told local press. “I was able to get out of the way.”

Further details of the crash were not made available by officials as of Saturday afternoon.
