HENDRICKS COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Emanuel Walker Jr., of Plainfield, Indiana, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a hit-and-run vehicle Thursday morning in Avon.
Walker, 20, was on-foot when he was struck and killed by a driver who then fled the scene Thursday morning, according to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say, the fatal collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. at CR-625 East & CR-100 South in Avon, Indiana, near Rockville Rd.
Investigators say Walker was standing at the road’s edge, reports WISH.
Police say they are seeking a silver Saturn with damage on the front and passenger sides. It may be missing a mirror on the passenger’s side. Police did not indicate whether a side-mirror, which contains identifying features, was located at the scene.
Walker was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police at 911.
