WEBB CITY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Gregory S. Lumpkins, of Joplin, MO, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday single-vehicle crash near Neosho.
Greg Lumpkins, 47, died in a crash on Sunday around 9 a.m. near Neosho, Newton County.
According to officials, Lumpkins was operating a truck on I-49, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert causing it to rollover.
Lumpkins was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Lumpkins was not wearing a seatbelt, reports KOAM.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
