COLUMBUS, OH. (THECOUNT) — Corey Ray Bias, a third-year Ohio State University student from Johnstown, has been identified as the victim found dead at a construction site on-campus Friday morning.
Bias, 20, was found unresponsive after an apparent fall while at an OSU on-campus construction site Friday morning, according to reports.
Columbus fire crews were dispatched to a construction site in the area of Neil Avenue and West 11th Avenue around 6:30 a.m., near Mack Hall, Friday on reports of an unresponsive man.
Witnesses say the victim may have fallen about 6 floors off some scaffolding.
The man was not breathing and did not have a pulse at the time of the 911 call. The caller also said it appeared the man had been on the ground for “a while,” reports NewarkAdvocate.
Bias was pronounced dead at the scene of massive blunt force trauma.
The university said Bias was a third-year political science major.
It is unclear why Bias was in the area of the scaffolding.
