RENO, NV. (THECOUNT) — Chris Frederick Nolte has been identified as the victim in a fatal train strike Monday in Reno, Nevada, according to the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
Nolte, 52, died after being struck by a train on Sutro Street in Reno Monday morning.
Union Pacific says the train hit and killed Nolte at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday off of Wells Avenue.
Nolte was pronounced dead at the scene of massive blunt force trauma.
The cause and manner of death are pending investigation.
Reno Police responded to the scene.
In a statement, Union Pacific says the train crew was not hurt, reports KTVN.
