INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (THECOUNT) — After 32 years at the same locations, Indianapolis’ Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place, was heavily damaged by an overnight blaze.
The Indianapolis Fire Department says, crews responded to reports of a structure fire at the popular eatery, located on the northside of Indianapolis early Saturday morning.

IFD was dispatched around midnight and arrived at 1831 N. College Ave. at 12:07 a.m. The fire was under control around 1:30 a.m., reports IndyStar.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the blaze.
Employee Tony Davidson told IFD that the last employee had departed the building around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place, which serves southern favorites such as fried chicken and lemonade, has been operating in that location for 32 years according to IFD.
The fire is still under investigation and the extent of the fire is unclear.
