MECHANICSBURG, PA. (THECOUNT) — Mark D. Croce and Michael Capriotto, of Orchard Park, NY, have been identified as the two fatalities in a Thursday night helicopter crash in Mechanicsburg, PA., the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Croce, 58, and Capriotto, 63, were killed after a helicopter they were traveling crashed around 8:30 p.m. while en route from Washington, D.C., to Buffalo, according to Friday morning reports.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board, reports BuffaloNews.
Croce was the Buffalo Development Corporation president. Capriotto was the owner of Bauer Service Inc.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
