URBANA, IL. (THECOUNT) — Illinois men, Rodney Young and Shawntez Young, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal single-vehicle crash in Champaign County Wednesday night.
The victims were both killed in a single-vehicle Jaguar SUV crash on I-74 Wednesday night in Urbana.
Marazette Young, 36, was operating a 2017 Jaguar SUV, when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway around 8:30 pm, Wednesday, on I-74 westbound.
Rodney Young, 37, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Shawntez Young, 46, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force injuries.
The fourth victim has not been named, but is a 37-year old man, reports WCIA.
The unidentified victim and Marazette Young are hospitalized in serious condition.
All men are from Champaign/ Urbana area.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
