SHELBY COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Dajuante Stuart, of Hermitage, Tennessee, has been identified as the Nashville-based truck driver found shot to death in his semi-trailer on the shoulder of an interstate in Shelby County.
Stuart, 30, was found dead in the cab of the tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning on I-269 just west of Memphis.
Authorities issued a BOLO for an “extremely dangerous” person of interest connected to the shooting death.
After detectives reviewed the security camera footage from inside the cab, they announced the death was being treated as a homicide investigation. They then released images of the suspect taken from the security footage showing the man with a tattoo on his right bicep and carrying a Mario-themed backpack, reports FOX17.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol also issued a BOLO for the suspect.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or thinks they have seen him is asked to call the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at 901-528-2274. Authorities are urging the public to use caution because the man is being considered very dangerous.
