ABBEVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Cameron Lollis, of Anderson, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal van crash near Abbeville Wednesday.
Lollis, 31, was killed in a crash after the vehicle he was operating struck a bridge and rolled over in Abbeville County on Wednesday around 4 a.m.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred about 4 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 201 in Abbeville, after, for unknown reasons, the Ford van Lollis was operating crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then struck a bridge and overturned off the roadway.
Lollis had to be extricated from the vehicle, officials said.
Lollis was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the violent crash.
Lollis died from blunt force trauma and the crash, reports WYFF.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
