FORDLAND, MO. (THECOUNT) — Karen Sue Shoe, of Mockingbird Rd, Fordland, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash in Fordland Tuesday.
Shoe, 74, was killed, and a teen severely injured, in a two-vehicle crash on US-60 in Fordland late Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers say a 16-year-old driver was traveling on US-60, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 4:45 p.m.
The vehicle then struck Shoe’s vehicle head-on.
The teenage driver is at a Springfield hospital with serious injuries, reports KY3.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
