RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA. (THECOUNT) — Ava Martinez, whose Youtube parody of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez garnered millions of hits, has quit the internet – Her social media accounts deleted – After her parents claim she was the victim of relentless death threats and “other worrying messages.”

Martinez’s family took to social media to announce the deletion of the young girl’s Youtube and all associated social media accounts.

The statement was posted on Twitter:

“Ava will not be doing any more MINI AOC content. The Left’s Harassment and death threats have gone too far for our family. We have been getting calls on our personal phone numbers. For our safety and for our child’s safety, we deleted all Mini AOC accounts.”

Martinez, 8, from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, posted several videos where she hilariously mocked the freshman congresswoman and her agendas. However, now her family has come forward with an announcement saying it was fun while it lasted.

Martinez will no longer be making videos that parody AOC because the young child actor has received numerous death threats, reports AWM.

The family has no clue of the true identity of the people making the death threats. However, they are thought to be people who are die-hard supporters of Representative Ocasio-Cortez. The family turned to Twitter to reveal that they will stop production on future videos and have removed all previous videos from the internet.

Another blow to the young actor’s future is a new Youtube policy rolled out days ago, forbidding ads on video featuring kids and content aimed at young audiences:

“Starting today, we will no longer serve personalized ads or support features such as comments, Stories, live chat, notification bell, and others on videos designated made for kids,” wrote Youtube to its content creators.

“We know these changes may have significant impact on creators making kids content, so we’re committed to helping them navigate this new landscape. We continue to engage on this issue, including by participating in the FTC’s open comment period. We know many creators have provided valuable feedback as well,” the video serving giant said on Monday.
