NORTH MANCHESTER, IN. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Haupert, of North Manchester, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal soybean silo accident on Monday.
Haupert, 66, was killed after apparently becoming trapped inside the grain bin in Wabash County on Monday.
According to reports, officers responded to call of a man trapped in a grain bin Monday afternoon at the 8000 block of North State Road 13, near Reahard Road, in North Manchester.
When first responders arrived, they had to cut several holes in the bin and remove the soybeans to get to the victim, reports WTHR.
Haupert was pronounced dead at the scene.
