BRAMPTON, ON. (THECOUNT) — Diana Manan, of Toronto, Canada, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Monday in a hit-and-run in Brampton.
According to Peel Regional Police, the deadly incident occurred early this morning in a largely residential area of the city west of Toronto.
According to Reports, Manan, 16, was on-foot in the area of Brampton, when she was fatally struck by a vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene.
Manan was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Police have not offered details on what brought the victim to the area.
Officials say they do not have any details on potential suspects and are asking anyone with information to come forward, reports iHeartRadio.
