MARION COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — David Kempt Jr. 4th, of Marion, Ohio, has been identified as the pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle at the Marion city corporation line Saturday afternoon.
“DJ Wicked” Kempt, 36, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Mount Vernon Ave. at Kensington Place around 2:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
According to police, Kempt was struck by a Ford Freestyle driven by 33 year old Alisha Barber, also of Marion. Troopers say Barber ran the red light at the intersection and hit Kempt inside the crosswalk, reports NBC4i.
Kempt was transported to an area hospital and then forwarded to Grant Medical Center for further treatment.
Kempt’s current condition is unknown.
Barber and her passengers were not injured in the collision.
OSHP has not said what citations, if any, were issued at the scene.
