LYNCHBURG, VA. (THECOUNT) — Sherwin Torrance Overstreet, of Roanoke, has been identified as the suspect in the shooting of two employees at a Lynchburg McDonald’s Friday evening.

Overstreet, 22, of Roanoke, is charged with two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, police said in a news release.

According to reports, officers responded to the McDonald’s, located at, 2135 Wards Road, on a reports of shots fired around 6:30 p.m. Friday. When officials arrived they determined an altercation between a drive-through customer and the employees led to the incident.

The altercation, which occurred inside the restaurant, left two employees suffering from gunshot injuries, police said. Overstreet, the customer, then fled the scene.

Police did not release details on the severity of their injuries, reports NewsAdvance.
