LA Man Kirk Parish ID’d As Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Bakersfield CA New Year’s Day ‘Hit-And-Run’

BAKERSFIELD, CA. (THECOUNT) — Kirk Conlin Parish, originally of New Orleans, LA, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle in Bakersfield, California on Wednesday morning.

Bakersfield Police say, Parish, 54, who may now have been residing at 614 Washington Ave, APT A, in Bakersfield, was the victim of a fatal hit-and-run in southwest Bakersfield early New Year’s Day.

Officers say they responded to reports a vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident at the intersection of Parker Avenue and Oriole Street, near Home Depot, at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When officials arrived, they discovered Parish suffering from multiple blunt force trauma injuries..

Parish was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said the driver struck Parish and then fled the scene.

Police said they are actively searching for a possible Dodge Challenger or Charger with black and gray paint.

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol are involved in the crash, reports BakersfieldNow.
