EAST ST. LOUIS, IL. (THECOUNT) — Michael A. Moore has been identified as the teenage victim found fatally shot on campus at the Mason Clark Middle School in East St. Louis on Sunday.
Illinois State police are investigating after Moore, 13, was found suffering from gunshot injuries in the parking lot area of the school on Sunday.
Police say, the teen died after being shot sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
According to police, the death is being investigated as a homicide and authorities do not believe the body was dumped on the parking lot, reports KMOV.
Moore was not a student at the school, police said.
The school is located at, 5510 State St in East St Louis, IL.
Authorities said they are looking for a suspect and are working leads right now.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police at 911.
