LAKELAND, FL. (THECOUNT) — Rachel Ramsey has been identified as the Lakeland mother of two who was gunned down on Christmas Eve by the father of her children. The father is also is believed to have shot and killed Ramsey’s male friend before turning the gun on himself, according to friends of the victim and Lakeland police.
Ramsey, 30, was killed along with a male friend who was at the residence at the time of the fatal shooting along with four children who may have witnessed the deadly incident.

Four Children were rescued after an apparent triple-fatal murder-suicide involving three adults in Lakeland, Florida Tuesday night.
Lakeland police identified 30-year-old Leighton Josephs as the apparent gunman.
Ramsey nor her friend have been officially identified as the victims.
A GoFundMe has been set up to benefit the family by the victim’s church, reports patch.
The children were inside the home at the time of the deadly incident, say officials.
The incident occurred in the area of Atlanta Avenue & East Edgewood Drive, near Lake Bentley.
The Lakeland Police Department said four children were inside the home at the time of the incident and were safely removed and taken to the police station, reports WFLA.
