GUILFORD, NY. (THECOUNT) — Former US Navy SQS 23 Sonar, MK105 Fire Control repair tech, William Brett, of Kenoza Lake, NY, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in Guilford on Christmas day.
Brett, 73, was killed and Patricia House seriously injured, following a Christmas Day crash between a vehicle and a big-rig on Wednesday around 6:20 p.m.
According to the New York State Police, Brett was traveling in a Subaru Forester, operated by “Pat” House, 78, when the Subaru failed to yield for a stop sign on Route 35 in the Town of Guilford.
The vehicle then collided with a tractor-trailer.
House, also of Kenoza Lake, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
