CEDAR RAPIDS, IA. (THECOUNT) — Talon Williams, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a fatal pond drowning Sunday evening, according to reports.

Two teens were transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.

Williams, 21, drowned after falling into a pond near Cedar Rapids’ Mohawk City Park, according to the Linn County medical examiner.

Rescue teams responded to Mohawk City Park on a call of a possible person in the pond around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, a 14-year-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy appeared to have gotten themselves out of the water and summoned 911..

A third person, identified as Williams, was unable to get out of the frigid waters.

Williams’ body was found in the water about 120 yards (109.7 meters) from shore around two hours later, reports BeaumontEnterprise.

The two boys, who were not identified because of their age, were transported to area hospitals. Their condition was not updated as of Tuesday morning.
