SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — Michael Anthony Brown, of Boyers, PA, has been identified as the victim in a Monday night single-vehicle crash in Slippery Rock, according to Tuesday morning reports.

“Micheal” Brown, 30, died Monday night after being involved in a single-vehicle crash on PA-8 in Slippery Rock.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Brown was operating a Ford F-150 XLT on William Flynn Highway near Boozel Road around 9 p.m. Monday, when for unknown reason the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The pickup then traveled down an embankment and struck a substantial tree.

Emergency responders from Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company & Rescue Team and Unionville Volunteer Fire Company were on scene Monday night. William Flynn Highway was closed several hours as a result of the accident, reports ButlerEagle.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
