FAIRMONT, MN. (THECOUNT) — Truman Hobbs of Blue Earth, MN, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash near Fairmont on Monday morning.
Hobbs, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near the town of Guckeen on Monday around 9:30 a.m.
According to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Hobbs was operating a pickup truck on 110th Street, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The pickup then entered a culvert causing it to roll over multiple times.
Hobbs was ejected during the violent collision.
It is believed that Hobbs had not been wearing his safety belt prior to the accident, reports KEYC.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Blue Earth Police Department, Blue Earth Fire Department, Blue Earth Ambulance and Minnesota State Patrol.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to Twitter, Hobbs worked at the AT&T store in Fairmont.
