CHAMPAIGN, IL. (THECOUNT) — Leslie Gill has been identified as the victim found inside a burning dwelling on Saturday night in Champaign, Illinois, according to Sunday reports.

Gill, 49, was discovered inside a Sherwood Court residence in Champaign on Saturday evening.

Gill was transported from the scene to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, December 23, at the Champaign County Regional Autopsy Facility, reports WCIA.

The Champaign County Coroner’s Office, Champaign Police Department, Champaign Fire Department and the Illinois State Fire Marshal are investigating this incident.

According to public records, Gill resided at the 9 Sherwood Court residence.
