MACON, MO. (THECOUNT) — Donald Parrish of Macon, Missouri, has been identified as the victim killed in a vehicle collision near Macon Saturday morning, according to reports.
Parrish, 25, was killed after a vehicle he was operating came into contact with a big-rig truck while traveling on MO-63 near Macon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, they responded to reports of a vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler Saturday morning near Highway M. When officials arrived, they determined Parrish, for known reasons, rear ended a tractor-trailer and exited the roadway around 6:30 a.m.
Parrish was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Parrish was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The semi driver was not hurt, reports ABC17.
The Major Crash Investigation Unit, the Macon County Sheriff’s Department and the Atlanta Fire Department all responded to the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
