MADISON COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Canton man, Terrance Jamal Caldwell, has been arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including shooting a store clerk in the face, according to Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker.

Caldwell, 25, who was arrested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department around 9:45 p.m. Thursday, is also suspected in the murder of Canton Domino’s Pizza driver, Helerica “Latrice” Dortch, say authorities on Friday.

A Jasco store employee identified Ranjit Singh as the clerk shot in the face during a robbery. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Caldwell is being charged armed robbery, attempted capital murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in relation to the Thursday robbery and shooting of store clerk Ranjit Singh at the Jasco Convenience Store in Canton, reports WLBT.

The body of the missing Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was found Tuesday afternoon, according to family members on Tuesday.

Law enforcement said Dortch, 31, was last seen leaving her job at Domino’s in Canton at 2 p.m. Friday. Tammie Dortch said her niece left on a delivery.

Authorities were searching for Dortch, who was reported missing after her delivery vehicle was found abandoned in Madison County Sunday, reports ClarionLedger.

A cause of death was not provided.

The Madison County Sheriff’s office had asked the public’s help in locating Dortch.

Dortch was last seen Friday around 2 p.m. leaving the Domino’s Pizza on East Peace Street in Canton, Madison County, MS.

She is 5′07″ and about 165 pounds. She was wearing Domino’s employee attire and driving a 2015 maroon Chevrolet Malibu. That car has since been found abandoned, reports WLBT.
