FORT STEWART, GA. (THECOUNT) — Tevin Biles-Thomas, the brother of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has been released from prison after a Cuyahoga County, Ohio judge ordered his bond reduced.

Biles-Thomas, 24, of Cleveland, is charged in connection with a triple homicide on New Year’s Eve.

Biles-Thomas’ bond was reduced from one million dollars to $100,000 and he was ordered adhere to some rules while he is out on bond.

He is ordered to be on house arrest while wearing a GPS monitoring system. Biles-Thomas is also ordered to have no contact with the surviving victims of the shooting or family members of those who were killed in the shooting, reports Cleveland19.

Biles-Thomas has pleaded not guilty to six counts of murder, three counts of voluntary manslaughter, five counts of felonious assault and one count of perjury.

Cleveland police said Biles-Thomas shot multiple people at a New Year’s Eve Party near Denison Avenue and W. 54th Street on Dec. 31, 2018.

Biles-Thomas was arrested in Georgia and charged in connection with an Ohio shooting that left three people dead and two others injured on New Year’s Eve in Cleveland.

Biles-Thomas was taken into custody Thursday on August 30th at Fort Stewart, an Army post in the U.S. state of Georgia.

Biles-Thomas, who is on active duty with the Army, was charged in the fatal shooting Dec. 31 at an Airbnb rental property that left three men dead, reports KBJR6.

Biles-Thomas, who is on active duty with the Army, has been charged with multiple counts of murder, voluntary manslaughter and felonious assault, as well as one count of perjury, Cuyahoga County Court Records show.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley congratulated Cleveland police after the arrest in Georgia, which came after nearly eight months of investigation.

“The relentless persistence of Cleveland Police Homicide detectives helped secure an indictment in this case,” O’Malley told WKYC. “It is through their hard work that we can begin to seek justice for these victims.”
