GRANITEVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Mel’lisha Jackson and her one-year-old son Elijah have been identified as the victims found shot dead in Graniteville, South Carolina on Tuesday night.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office says Jackson, 26, and Elijah, 1, were killed in a Tuesday night a shooting in Graniteville, according to officials.
It happened Tuesday night around 11:00 at the Kalmia Apartments, located at 1600 Kalmia Apartments Ln in Graniteville, SC.
The young mother was pronounced dead on the scene and the child was transported to an area hospital where he later died of gunshot injuries.
No suspect information has been released, but the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, reports WRDW.
Anyone with possible information on the double-deadly incident should contact police at 911.
