LUBBOCK, TX. (THECOUNT) — Joshua John Hinojosa and Eva Margarita Corona have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal wrong-way head-on crash in Lubbock on Tuesday.
Emergency crews responded to a critical wreck near County Road 5400 and Highway 62/82 Tuesday night.

According to reports, “Josh” Hinojosa, 24, of Petersburg, Texas, was operating a vehicle traveling the wrong way, when it collided head-on with 39-year-old Corona’s vehicle near CR-5400, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Both of the vehicles spun out on impact while remaining connected to each other, DPS said.
Both vehicles then came to a rest partially off the side of the roadway and burst into flames.
A passerby pulled an 11-year-old boy out of one of the vehicles while the drivers of both vehicles remained trapped in their vehicles, reports EverythingLubbock.
Corona and Hinojosa were both pronounced dead at the scene, DPS said.
The boy was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
