MAYVILLE, NY. (THECOUNT) — Michael S. Ellis, owner of the Mayville Diner, has been charged with arson, say Tuesday morning reports.
Ellis, 40, of Mayville, NY, is charged with Arson, 3rd class C felony.
Ellis was arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua court and released on his own recognizance, reports WGRZ.
A fire completely destroyed the diner, located at 7 W Chautauqua St in Mayville, NY, on December 9.
The restaurant was a popular destination for locals for several years and garnered a favorable Yelp rating.
