NASHVILLE, TN. (THECOUNT) — Police are investigating after a mother walking with a child was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in South Nashville Monday morning, according to reports.
The deadly incident occurred around 5 a.m. Monday at 4501 Packard Drive. The driver fled the scene.
Metro Nashville police said a mother and daughter were crossing the street when the woman was hit, reports NewsChannel5.
She was walking behind her daughter when she was struck.
Police said the daughter did not see the vehicle.
The victim has not yet been identified.
