FAIRFIELD, CT. (THECOUNT) — Steven Conneely has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, CT, early Saturday.
Conneely, 33, was killed after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Fairfield, according to officials.

Conneely of 127 Miro St, in Fairfield, was operating a vehicle on Black Rock Turnpike near Finn St, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. His vehicle then struck a parked vehicle before coming into contact with a substantial tree.
Police said Conneely was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Conneely was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Authorities initially held off identifying Conneely to give them time to notify his next of kin, reports FairfieldCitizen.
Impaired driving being a cause of the violent crash is unknown.
The accident is being investigated by the Fairfield Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
