PENSACOLA, FL. (THECOUNT) — Although officials have not confirmed the name of the suspect involved in a deadly shooting at a Pensacola base early Friday, several social media reports are identifying him Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani. We were unable to independently confirm the name of the shooter.

Officials did say that the Saudi student used a handgun in the commission of the shooting that so far has taken four lives.

Officials said in an afternoon presser, the suspect in the Friday morning shooting was an aviation student from Saudi Arabia.

Officials have stopped short of calling the attack terrorism.

The shooter reportedly opened fire inside a classroom in an attack that left at least four people dead and multiple wounded.

Suspect has not been officially identified by name.
