KANSAS CITY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Kansas City “Rockstar Burgers” owner Brian Smith, has been arrested days after announcing the eatery’s closure.

Smith was charged Friday with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action in connection with an alleged incident Nov. 24.

Smith confirmed to KCTV that he is closing the doors.

Rockstar Burgers, located at 1611 Genessee Street, will officially close on Monday, December 9 according to owner Brian Smith.

Smith could face up to seven years in prison for the domestic assault and no less than three years in jail on the armed criminal action charge, if convicted, reports KSHB.

The business started in late 2015.
