WATERTOWN, CT. (THECOUNT) — SAD UPDATE: We are now learning the two teens shot in the below incident have died at area hospitals from gunshot injuries.
An unidentified man shot two teens inside a Watertown home before turning the gun on himself on Tuesday night, police say Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at 1190 Litchfield Road in Watertown, Connecticut, Tuesday before 9:50 p.m.
Police say, they arrived to Litchfield Road on reports of shots fired. Once on scene, they discovered find a teenage girl and boy suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
Both of teens were transported to Waterbury Hospital with life-threatening injuries. They have since passed away.
Police say the boyfriend of the mother of the teens was found dead inside the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, reports News12.
The Watertown Police Department Detective Division is investigating the incident with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad.
Police did not say if the mother of the teens was injured during the incident.
