MEXICO CITY, MX. (THECOUNT) — A mother is living a nightmare after receiving a WhatsApp message from her daughter, Laura Karen Espíndola Fabián, saying she about to board a taxi in Iztapalapa, Mexico City on Tuesday.
“Laura Karen” sent a message to her mother moments later saying that the taxi driver looked “suspicious.”
Immediately, Karen’s mother told her to get out of the taxi and board another, however, Karen never answered back.
“My sister is lost, she was coming over Tlalpan, by Metro General Anaya, there he boarded a taxi and around 9 pm was her last message, Karen’s brother Daniel wrote on social media following her disappearance.
The only thing that is known is that someone “turned the cell phone on and off.”
At the time of the incident, Karen was dressed in black leggings, measures 1.65-1.70 and was headed for Tasqueña.
Meanwhile, the head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, reported that he is “pending and attentive” about the disappearance of Laura Karen. Through his Twitter account, he said that “all protocols for these cases are taken care of and applied responsibly,” reports Milenio.
