CENTER POINT, IA. (THECOUNT) — Bret Klima, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been identified as the driver of a vehicle that struck two pedestrians, one fatally, Sunday morning in Center Point, according to reports.
Klima, 30, was operating a vehicle that left the scene of a deadly hit-and-run that left a woman dead Sunday morning around 1:30 a.m.
Deputies with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office are seeking Klima after they say he left the scene of a crash that killed one woman and injured a man near the Center Point City Hall building.
Deputies responded to 510 Iowa Street, that’s the parking lot of Bully’s North, a bar in town, reports KCRG.
Authorities found a woman dead at the scene. Another man was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Witnesses on the scene identified Klima as the driver.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact authorities immediately at 911.
