BRYANT, AR. (THECOUNT) — Katrina Nicole Dunnick of Little Rock, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim killed along with a boy and a girl, in a tragic Thanksgivings evening crash near Bryant, according to reports. The youths have not been identified.
Dunnick, 39, was traveling in a vehicle with two other individuals that had for unknown reasons stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 30 near the Reynolds Road exit. When the vehicle attempted to merge back onto the roadway, it was struck from behind by a big-rig Thursday after 5 p.m., according to a state police preliminary crash summary.
State police said all three of the injured people were transported from the scene to area hospitals in critical condition Thursday evening, it was later revealed by officials that they all had perished.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, from Michigan, was injured as well, reports ArkansasOnline. His current condition was not provided.
It was raining at the time of the crash.
No further information was available as of Saturday morning.
