RUSSELL COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — A body has been recovered in Laurel Bed Lake Friday amid the search for missing kayaker David Glidewell, according to reports.
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries confirmed a body has been found in Laurel Bed Lake but stopped short of identifying it as 38-year-old Glidewell.
Crews are currently working to recover the body, reports WCYB.
Glidewell went missing on Wednesday after Russell County officials believe high winds may have caused his kayak to capsize.
Dive crews and teams from neighboring counties have been at the scene helping with the recovery efforts.
