WILSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Brock Dalton Dorman has been identified as the Nashville, Tennessee man killed in a crash involving a big rig near Wilson County Wednesday afternoon, according to reports.
Dorman, 26, was killed when the van he was operating rear-ended a semi-tractor that was stopped in slow-moving Interstate 40 traffic near Portland Wednesday afternoon.
The fatal crash occurred on I-40 eastbound near the Highway 109 exit after Dorman rear-ended an 18-wheeler. A police report noted seeing no skid marks generated by the victim’s vehicle, indicating no effort was made to stop.
Dorman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the violent crash, according to troopers.
The driver of the semi truck was not injured, the crash report stated, reports WKRN.
The crash remains under investigation.
