MILTON, FL. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Peter Platt, of Navarre, Florida, has been identified as the pilot killed in a Milton, Florida plane crash on Sunday, according to Monday afternoon reports.
Platt, 38, was killed in the small plane crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
A Santa Rosa County spokesperson said Sunday the small single-engine plane crashed during take-off at about 9:50 a.m. Platt pilot was declared dead on the scene, reports WKRG.
Platt was the only occupant of the doomed flight.
The fatal crash occurred at Peter Prince Airport, located at, 5550 N Airport Rd in Milton, FL.
The sheriff’s office says the NTSB and FAA are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
