WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — A major incident vehicle crash has occurred Sunday on South Interstate 81 in Wilkes-Barre Township, according to reports.
The multi-vehicle crash caused both lanes on Interstate 81 South in Wilkes-Barre township to be closed around 2:55 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
State police say one vehicle rolled over and multiple patients were ejected from a vehicle and some may still be trapped inside, reports WNEP.
Police say seven people were involved in the crash near the Wilkes-Barre/Mountain Top Exit of the Interstate.
State Police are asking motorists to avoid the area while they tend the accident.
